École publique Hélène-Gravel helps to save pets

Students at École publique Hélène Gravel in Sudbury have rallied in support of cause that is dear to their hearts: the well-being of pets. The school is very pleased to welcome a new partner, the non-for-profit organisation “Pet Save”. This partnership will allow the students to develop their sense of empathy and compassion through charity work in their community.
To celebrate National Cat Day on October 29th, École publique Hélène-Gravel will collect donations in support of Pet Save. Pet Save is an organization based in Lively which takes care of dogs and cats that have been abused, abandoned, neglected, injured or lost. The organization relies on its many volunteers to continue its operations.
Currently, Pet Save is caring for 160 cats that need a permanent home or a temporary foster home.
All École publique Hélène-Gravel’s students have crafted cat masks. Today, the students will rally in the school’s gymnasium with their masks and will have the opportunity to meet the founder of Pet Save, Jill Pessot, and present her with the donations they have collected.
