Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord and CUPE ratify a new collective agreement

Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario and the Canadian Union of Public Employees reached a three-year collective agreement for the period ending August 31st, 2022.

According to the Chair of Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario, Jean-Marc Aubin, “this agreement enables Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord to continue offering high-quality service within its schools. By working together with the janitorial staff, we can offer clean school environments that allow students to feel good, learn and develop to their fullest potential.”

According to union representative Madeleine Fredette, Local 895’s bargaining committee wishes to thank the members of the local and the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord de l’Ontario for their support, efforts and dedication in reaching the ratification of the agreement between the union and the employer.  We look forward to continuing the good working relationship that currently exists, always keeping the interests and needs of students, staff and members first”.
