Children’s health: a priority for É. p. Hélène-Gravel

February 17, 2016

On February 23rd, staff members of École publique Hélène-Gravel in Sudbury will present a $500 donation to the NEO Kids Foundation, the hub of specialized health care for children in Northeastern Ontario.

This school’s staff rallied behind a cause that is dear to their hearts: children’s well-being. Since the start of the school year, they have contributed a weekly amount to pay for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays.

The school’s principal, Ms. Noëlle Maggiolo, says “we believe that Northern families and children need greater access to health care services and NEO Kids aims to ensure that more children in who live Northeastern Ontario can receive the care they need in an environment that is devoted to children and youth.”

Recognized for its keen sense of innovation and openness to the world, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord offers a French-language public education of the highest quality in eleven elementary schools and eight secondary schools in the communities of Markstay, Noëlville, Greater Sudbury, Elliot Lake, Sault Ste. Marie, Wawa, Dubreuilville, Marathon, Manitouwadge and Longlac.
